WORKING WITH SHAPES IN MICROSOFT WORD 2010

Microsoft Word 2010 offers the possibility to change the Shape Fill Color after inserting the shape, to change the Shape Outline using a lot of offered outlines and to change the Shape Styles.
In this tutorial you will learn the steps that are necessary to show you how to change the Shape Fill Color, the Shape Outline and the Shape Style.
Follow the next several steps for changing the Shape Fill Color:
1. First, select the Shape. The Format tab will appear;
2. Click on Shape Fill button; A new list will appear;
3. Click on the desired color. (Ex. Red, see picture below) The Shape is filled with red color;
OR
4. Click on No Fill if you want the shape to be blank (filled with white color).
OR
5. Click on More Fill Colors to choose a custom color.
6. A new menu will appear. Select the desired Standard or Custom color, and click OK.
The Shape will be filled with the desired color.
Follow the next several steps for changing the Shape Outline:
- First, select the Shape. The Format tab will appear;
- Click on Shape Outline button; A new list will appear;
- Click on the desired color. (Ex. Black, see picture below) The Shape is outlined with black;
OR
- Click on No Outline if you want the shape to be without outlines.
OR
- Click on More Outline Colors to choose a custom color;
- A new menu will appear. Select the desired Standard or Custom color, and click OK.
The Shape will be outlined with the desired color.
- Click on Weight to choose between different options;
- Click on Dashes to choose between different options.
Follow the next several steps for changing the Shape Styles:
- First, select the Shape. The Format tab will appear;
- Click on drop-down More arrow;
- A list with lot of styles will appear. Drag with the mouse and select the desired style; (Example: Orange, Accent 2; see picture below )
The desired style will be selected.
