1. Resetting Word’s copy and paste options

The first one from the time saving tips is how to avoid having to chose formatting options every time you paste text, click on the Office Button in the top left corner of the Word’s window.

Then select Word Options Button located in the bottom part of the Office Button window.

Next, move to the Advanced Section

Under the “Cut, Copy and Paste” option heading,

use the Drop Down Menus to choose your new default settings for format pasting.

It’s also recommended that you uncheck the ‘Show Paste Options Buttons‘ box,

to prevent the future displaying of formatting options pop-up.

Click OK to save and finish with settings,

08or Cancel to cancel the changed settings.

2. Compare Two Documents

The second tip of the time saving tips for Microsoft Word 2007 includes a tool that allows you to compare two documents to one other and for you to selectively mark up the document with the differences between the two documents.

Select the Review Tab of the ribbon or Alt + R and click on the Compare Icon.

Then, choose the Compare… option.

Word displays the Compare Document dialog box, then select the original document and the new edited document and the sort of mark-up you require. To see the type of the marked changes, click the More Button.

Click OK when finished. The documents are shown side by side after the changes.
