Read it Later

Is your Bookmarks bar overloaded? Have you ever come across something interesting to read but did not have the time to do so? You sure want to mark a page for coming back to without having to create a bookmark.

Read it Later is a Firefox add-on that lets you create a reading list from interesting links. Once it’s installed, all you need to do is right-click on any web site or link to save it to your reading list.

Read It Later is now called Pocket! Learn more at http://bit.ly/getpocket.

Pocket is everything users always loved about Read It Later, now with an easier and cleaner viewing experience and a ton of new features to help you see what you have saved: articles, videos, images and more. We’ve also made Pocket free for everyone.

Here are some of the features that Pocket offers:

1. Save pages to a reading list to read when you have time.

2. Read saved items in offline reading mode, this means anywhere without an internet connection.

3. Synchronize your list to all of your computers, at work or home. Each list is assigned a unique feed ID and password, simply plug it into any other Read It Later installation and all items you add or remove will be carried over no matter where you are.

4. Synchronize your list to Read It Later apps for iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android and more.

5. After reading, bookmark pages on your preferred bookmarking service or share them with friends.

6. Click to Save Mode lets you quickly create a reading list just by clicking on interesting links.

7. Text view strips away images and layout from articles and presents them in an easy to consume way.

8. Save all tabs for later. This is convenient for those who keep a large number of tabs open. Now you can simply right click the tab-bar and select ‘Save All Tabs for Later’ and every page open will be saved into your Reading List.

This add-on installs two buttons in your Firefox toolbar:

Read Later button to save the page you are currently on. Read It Later button shows up as a simple checkmark alongside the ‘one-click bookmark’ star on the Firefox location bar.  Click to instantly save the current page to your list. When you are reading a saved page, the Read Later button turns into a Mark as Read button which you can use to remove pages from your list.
