Just follow this step by step tutorial and the calendar will be done in just a few minutes. There is also an option to build your own interactive calendar by inserting VB code into the Excel sheet, but advanced knowledge of VB is requested.

The first step is to open your new Excel 2010 document and head up to the File tab on the ribbon, like we have presented in figure 1.

When you click on the File tab, the next step is to click on the New tab, which will guide you through the templates. Just select the calendars template. Our choice was the template that is shown on figure 2.

This template could be easily edited. On the top left corner you can notice that the details about your company could be edited with your company’s details, and in the lower left corner you can put your company motto. Changing the background color or picture is also possible. The template contains code that will generate the correct dates for years to come. This code connects to the system time on your PC so you don’t have to worry about anything. All you need to do is to make your calendar look good. To help you switch between years, the calendar template has automatic switching between years. All you have to do is to press on the arrows, and the calendar will automatically update the dates for the year you will choose. This option is presented on figure 3. This is a classic calendar that you can edit. If you are looking for a fancier calendar, there are many other templates that you can choose from. On figure 4 we have presented a template which looks fancier. On this template you can insert text like reminders or special occasions for specific dates, which will be of great benefit to you. Also, by changing the font or the text style of the letters or numbers, or even implementing a special effect to the text, the Excel version of the calendar will look stunning. You can also add pictures for every month of the year. You can see and enjoy in the beauty of the calendar on figure 4.
